It seems to me that people are a lot more concerned about being in the broom closet than they used to. I keep reading articles about how to “come out” – articles sporting what I consider really bad advice. Lose the victim attitude people! Most people who are supposedly “in the closet” have very little to worry about. Those who are really, do, and must weigh the options before announcing themselves. “Out” is not for everyone.

It has been confirmed that the famous Capitoline Wolf, believed to have been an Etruscan bronze, was actually created in the 13th century. It is already widely known that the figures of the twins had been created in the mid-to-late 1400s and added to the statue to clarify which wolf was being shown.

It often said that “a rose by any other name would smell just as sweet” and while it’s a lovely, romantic notion, it’s hardly practical. The words we use carry over many pre-concieved notions and we’re responsible for considering that as we communicate. In the light of Kathy Lee Gifford’s’s gaffe, I think it’s time for us to examine the words we use. By we, I mean we “pagans”.
